Phases of the simulation activity:
Divide the class into small groups
Introduce En-ROADS to the class and provide a brief tutorial on how to use the tool.
Assign each group a different policy to explore.
Instruct the groups to use En-ROADS to model the impact of their assigned policy on global climate and economy over a period of 50 years.
Encourage the groups to experiment with different policy settings and assumptions to see how they affect the outcomes.
Ask the groups to create a report or presentation summarising their findings and recommendations based on their policy analysis.
Have each group present their findings and recommendations to the class.
Debate between groups defending the differences of each policy.
